The Denver Schools of Science and Technology (DSST) seeks a High School Biotechnology Teacher to join one of the leading charter school organizations in Colorado. DSST Public Schools Overview:
The Denver Schools of Science and Technology (DSST) operates a network of tuition-free, open-enrollment STEM charter schools. All DSST Public schools are part of the Denver Public Schools (DPS) district and students are admitted through DPSâ SchoolChoice program. The student population across the DSST network is 70 percent minority and 60 percent low income. DSST currently serves approximately 2,300 students at seven schools on five campuses: Byers, Cole, College View, Green Valley Ranch and Stapleton. DSST has been approved to open seven additional schools by 2022. At full enrollment, DSST Public Schools will serve over 6,500 students, and will help double the number of four year college-ready DPS graduates. 2013 marked the sixth consecutive year the senior class has earned 100% acceptance to a four-year college. The continued success of the DSST network has gained local and national attention. DSST is proud to operate the #1 middle school and the #1 high school in DPS for three years in a row; DSST was also named a Top Workplace in 2013 by The Denver Post.

- Plan and implement targeted curriculum and assessments for each student which adheres to the school's curriculum and standards.
- Work to implement and master DSST Public Schoolsâ core instructional practices
- To implement a variety of targeted assessments and root cause analysis that measure progress towards learning outcomes and that adhere to the DSST Assessment Framework.
- To use assessment data to adapt curriculum and instructional practices to help students meet the school's performance standards. Such use of data includes re-teach weeks, spiraling skills, and changing daily instruction to meet student needs.
