The Global Product Manager (GPM) will be responsible for defining and executing effective marketing programs and initiatives to maintain and support the growth of the biocontainer product range for Pall Life Sciences. This person will report functionally to the Vice President Single Use Technologies. The position will require daily interaction with global sales, R&D, marketing communications, product management, and scientific laboratory service leaders to meet growth objectives associated with the Biopharm portfolio. Responsibilities: The GPM is responsible for the technical health of the product. This includes on-going technology assessment within the context of the competitive landscape. In addition, the GPM will perform on-going win/loss analysis to better understand the features that are required for improved sales success. Based on market-driven feedback from customers and prospects, the GPM will write clear product requirements. The GPM will work closely with development managers to define the contents and delivery of a product release. The GPM will create and maintain the business plan for the markets served by our product line. In this role, s/he will articulate the companyâs distinctive competence and the productâs unique advantage. In support of the business case, the GPM will perform qualitative and quantitative research with existing customers and potential prospects. In addition, the GPM will perform sales, trend, and profitability analysis. As the key business manager on the product, the GMM will interface with industry thought leaders and strategic partners. The GPM will work with decision makers in marketing communications and sales management to ensure that the product is correctly communicated to the market.
- Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis and positioning;
- Develop pricing and packaging strategies;
- Work closely with the sales team to develop sales tools and training;
- Develop and manage customer care programs;
- Work with the team to develop innovative marketing programs and show event campaigns;
- Develop content for product and company collateral;
- Identify and analyze market and implement marketing strategies and core promotional support programs;
- Support market research programs for the creation and evaluation of marketing strategies;
- Conduct intelligence gathering to assess competition and alternative solutions;
- Work with Marketing Communications to assure web site content development
- Identify new business opportunities including new offerings to optimize and enhance the service portfolio
- Implement plans, display needs and materials related to tradeshow management and message delivery;
- Manage customer notification system to update customers on any and all systems portfolio changes;
- Develop and play a role in delivering presentations for all levels of management as well as for other internal and external audiences;
- Provide timely and accurate feedback and manage communications to appropriate management on key issues regarding services.
Skills and Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience in technical marketing of biopharmaceutical manufacture process related technology;
- Demonstrated success in product launches and end-to-end execution of marketing strategies
- Ability to do product demonstrations
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required; experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities and projects with dynamic timelines to execution: Strong leadership and influencing skills

- Knowledge of the Internet and prior experience utilizing the web as a marketing vehicle

TRAVEL: Up to 40% travel, including domestic and international travel to customers, meetings, and technical conferences/exhibits. Position Requirements Qualifications: - BS degree in Life Sciences (Biology or Chemistry) or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of combined experience in practical bioprocess applications, marketing or sales in the biopharmaceutical industry. Understanding or experience of single use in bioprocessing is a plus.
