Physical Therapist (PT) - Ft. Bliss, El Paso TX - Hyperion Biotechnology - Fort Bliss, TX

Minimum Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Must be a graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education or its equivalent.
Maintain a current and unrestricted physical therapy license from any one of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Must have a minimum of one year experience within the last two years working as a full-time PT.
Have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is the only program accepted. BLS recertification shall be maintained in a current status at all times while the HCP is performing services under this contract.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
Outpatient conditions include direct access based care to a variety of orthopedic sports medicine based conditions to include sprains, strains, fractures, and post-surgical orthopedic conditions in an out-patient setting.
Review medical histories and examine patient, make diagnosis of disease, disaster, or injury, and treat patient or prescribe a course of treatment. Abide by all facility rules, regulations, and policies.
Provide medical care and treatment of communicable diseases and/or injuries.
Conserve health of patients by application of diversified knowledge of preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical and surgical procedures. Seek advice of consultants when appropriate and initiate requests for tests, x-rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, as appropriate.
Follow-up on abnormal reports. Abnormal x-ray and lab reports received on patients seen by contract provider shall be reviewed by the contract provider at the time these reports are available for review.
Prescribe medications, as appropriate, in accordance with the privileges and MTF rules and regulations.
Prepare and document appropriate history physical examinations, and diagnosis. Maintain documentation of all treatment provided in accordance with MTF directives and prepare such records and reports as may be required by the policy. Ensure all documentation and reports are legible and complete.
