Job Description

The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is one of the highest ranked scientific research organisations in the world. The Headquarters Laboratory is located in Heidelberg (Germany), with additional sites in Grenoble (France), Hamburg (Germany), Hinxton (UK) and Monterotondo (Italy).

A postdoctoral position in cryo electron microscopy and structural modeling of thermophilic protein complexes of eukaryotes is available jointly between the laboratories of Martin Beck and Rob Russell at EMBL and the University of Heidelberg. A strong background in computational structural biology (ideally including programming experience) is required. The successful applicant will have access to state of the art equipment, including e.g. a Titan Krios with direct detector, several other high end microscopes and a computation cluster with >1000 nodes.
