HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Site Engineer – Control and Instrumentation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer - Control and Instrumentation to join a leading Biotech organisation based in the North West.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a member of the engineering department the Site Engineer - Control and Instrumentation will be required to perform a wide range of activities associated with the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and/or calibration of equipment, systems and facility at my clients cGMP site.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. The Site Engineer will be required to carry out planned and unplanned preventative maintenance on all site equipment in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures.
2. This particular role will also require the successful candidate to be fully conversant with Instrument and process control equipment installation, maintenance, calibration and fault finding.
3. Ensuring that systems such as HVAC with HEPA filtration, steam boilers, LTHW boilers, compressed air systems and multiple water systems are maintained as per their validated status, thus ensuring compliance with all quality procedures and regulations.
4. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, the Site Engineer will perform both the day to day routine requirements, scheduled and unscheduled PPM (planned preventative maintenance) tasks as well as more varied project dependant tasks.
5. The Site Engineer will also be expected to be part of an On-Call rota whereby they will be the initial point of contact for the resolution of any Engineering & Facilities issues for 1 week in 4.
6. Achieve compliance with all company and site SOP's, written schemes of examination and production plans by forward planning for all tasks.
7. Maintain a safe working environment by continuously promoting safety awareness, recognising and rectifying unsafe conditions and completing thorough investigations and reports when incidents occur.
8. To participate in special projects and validation activities within GMP and the Lab areas.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Instrument or Electrical Engineering Qualifications, i.e. Degree, HNC or HND.
2. Time served engineer instrument/electrical.
3. Extensive knowledge of Instrument Calibration and maintenance practices.
4. Experience in supporting DCS or PLC & SCADA systems.
5. Conversant with IEE Wiring Regulations and their application in industry.
6. Demonstrated experience within a cGMP biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical environment would be a significant advantage.
7. Experience in GMP and clean room facilities, HVAC etc.
8. Experience working with MHRA/FDA guidelines.
