Senior Scientist (Biopharmaceuticals) â€" Pharmaceuticals - Republic of Ireland

Flame Pharma is working with one of the world leaders in providing analytical services, drug development and research services. We are recruiting for a Senior Scientist to provide support to our Biopharmaceuticals department with protein and monoclonal antibodies control and characterisation. Senior Scientist routinely act as the project leader on multiple projects and will interact with clients, review and evaluate data, write reports and protocols.

The Role

  • Provide full analytical testing support in accordance with cGMP practices against strict timelines to successfully meet client program milestones
  • Perform analysis procedures to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical compounds in a variety of formulations for stability testing and other studies for analytical testing support
  • Coordinate method develop
  • pment and validation projects
  • Communicate effectively with internal and client stakeholders
  • The ability to plan, schedule and carry out work for successful project completion
  • Provides assistance and training to junior laboratory staff members 

The Person

  • Educated to a Bachelor’s Degree level in a relevant area, ie chemistry
  • 5 years’ experience working within a cGMP Lab
  • 5 years’ industry experience with proteins and monoclonal antibodies control and characterisation (full range Method transfer, method validation, stability studies, method development experience is a high plus)
  • 5 years’ industry experience with HPLC (SEC, CEX, RP), ELISA, SDS Page/ Western Blot, Capillary Electrophoresis and qPCR
  • General analytical chemistry knowledge
