We have an exciting newly created opportunity for an Application Specialist to join a leading diagnostics business in Kent. The successful Application Specialist will offer support for coagulation instrumentation on a global scale, both over the phone and in person with between 25% - 50% travel involved.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful Coagulation Application Specialist will be responsible for;

1. Providing second level application support for coagulation instrumentation and reagents to distributors / prospective distributors and internal colleagues. This support includes pre-sales and exhibition demonstrations, training on instrumentation operation and maintenance procedures, installation assistance, and telephone or field support.

2. Develop a troubleshooting process and assist service specialists / engineers with unresolved issues relating to reagents, instruments, procedures or software revisions.

3. Keep up to date with developments in the field of coagulation and review the technical content of literature required for both existing and new products.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The Application Specialist role needs to be:

1. A graduate with a BSc in Medical Technology or equivalent.

2. Technically qualified with customer support and/or field experience in the area of diagnostic coagulation instrumentation, along with strong knowledge of regulations and standards related to medical devices and the coagulation speciality.

3. Confident in coagulation knowledge, with the ability to provide assistance on a global scale. International experience (EMEA) would be an advantage
