HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Group Scientific Director

We are proud to announce that we are representing a multi national Biotechnology company in the Cambridgeshire area with their search to find a Group Scientific Director. This is an newly created role where the successful person will help to harmonise strategy across multi sites and take a focus on the scientific direction across their bioanalytical / translational sciences.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The successful Group Scientific Director will set the scientific standard and direction of the Division globally and will ensure our client has the appropriate level and breadth of scientific expertise to support their customers' clinical and non-clinical studies and harmonize best scientific practice. You will also:

1. Help drive the company's translational science strategy. Developing the business towards one which focuses on the experimental links between _in-vivo_ and analytical aspects of the study and interpret PD findings in relation to PK and, in the case of biologics, immunogenicity.

2. Provide hands-on support, mentoring and (where appropriate) training for the Division's scientists, and will support the operational heads in both the US and UK in the execution of studies to the appropriate scientific standards.

3. Interface extensively with customers as the scientific leader of the Division. This will include assisting the Sales team to win new projects of work; discussing with customers the drug indication and mechanism of action to assist in project and experimental design; and working with customers throughout the life of a project to ensure on-going scientific exchange and delivery of a quality service.

4. Be responsible for presenting the scientific face of the Division externally, including speaking

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful as the Group Scientific Director we are looking for individuals who can demonstrate the following:

1. A graduate / postgraduate bioanalytical scientist (or relevant experience) plus extensive proven industry experience preferably in a CRO environment.

2. Technical expertise needs to come from a bioanalytical / translational science field and it is expected that the successful person will have strong external and internal scientific credibility, probably involved in industry bodies.
