Job Summary:
The Department of Biology at the University of San Francisco invites applications for a one-year term faculty position to begin August 2014 (with the potential for contract extension after year one). The department seeks applicants with expertise in biotechnology and experience with drug discovery and/or clinical trials.

University teaching experience, evidence of scholarship, an earned doctorate by August 2014, and an understanding of and commitment to support the mission of the University of San Francisco are required.

Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in the Professional Masters in Biotechnology Program. The incumbent will be expected to help develop and teach the following courses: Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology, and Advanced Physiology. The course assignment may change depending on the need of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:
M.D. or Ph. D. degree in Molecular Biology or closely related field is required. Evidence of teaching experience is required. Candidates should have demonstrated skills in teaching, verbal and written communication, interpersonal relationships, and ability to coordinate collaborative efforts. Candidates must be supportive of the mission of the University.
