Product Specialist, Biotechnology - LI-COR Biosciences - Lincoln, NE
Managers in strategic and tactical marketing for products or product lines as assigned, including the positioning, promotion, and market expansion of current products (hardware, software, reagents, and services). This position will also assist in the market launch of products as assigned, the development of sales tools and various marketing tools, including promotional emails, the Biotechnology web, brochures, print ads and other as assigned.
Professional Qualifications
Education
B.S. or M.S. in life sciences. Business minor desirable but not necessary.
Experience
Marketing experience desirable, but not necessary.
Technical sales experience is desirable but not necessary.
Experience with Personal Computers: basic experience with various operating systems (Windows, Macintosh), Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point, SalesForce, SharePoint.

Position Responsibilities
Specific
Promotional Marketing: Participate in product and company branding activities that utilize web based promotional tools. Assist in developing deliverables for promotional efforts and sales campaigns.
Marketing Activities: Assist Marketing Product Managers in the creation of marketing materials. This includes, but is not limited to the creation of product presentations in varied formats included PowerPoint presentations, web pages, webinars, etc. Assist with electronic marketing activities related to google, wikipedia, twitter, etc.
Product Launches: Assist Marketing Product Managers in the launching of new products to the market place, including the development of supporting sales tools.
Market Research: Participate in the market research process in support of strategic plan. Assist with development and implementation of customer surveys and post sales inquiry strategy. Assist with Voice Of the Customer project activities as assigned.
Market Assessment: Gather and analyze data on adjacent markets and competitors. Analyze and report on web based strategies that are utilized by the competition. Make recommendations for improving processes and implement new strategies for increasing web traffic.
General
Seeks to understand from internet inquires, journal articles, newsletters, product literature and other sources that present new protocols, ideas, and technologies in order to effectively implement strategies in the lab that require state-of-the-art science and technology.
Maintain ongoing contact with customers to better understand their needs and build relationships.
The position has moderate domestic travel
Sedentary Work-Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
