Job Summary:

The Medical Devices Group is seeking talented, insightful and ambitious graduate physicists to join the growing team. The successful candidates will develop new medical devices by drawing on their insight, analysis, creativity, initiative and drive.

Main Duties:

Take ownership of and responsibility for client requirements by responding to detailed technical challenges and selecting the most appropriate solution Make a direct contribution to advanced technology in the development of new products Provide technical and opinion leadership as you contribute to project teams, client organisations and business presentations Working as a team, your approach, reliability and dedication will enable you to effectively integrate with teams of physicists, designers and engineers inside the company and in the client’s organisation Establish and maintain high standards of performance throughout your work, based on your ability to effectively resolve and communicate complex technical solutions Display quality, honesty and integrity at all levels, in particular to address the standards of design rigour that are required to develop successful devices

Qualifications and training:

A 1st or Upper 2nd class degree from a leading university in physics or related discipline A higher degree would be an advantage

Skills and experience:

A very strong understanding of physics fundamentals including analytical, theoretical, experimental and creative capabilities An ability to set the direction in your work, focussing on the most important aspects Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills Project, work placement or research experience that demonstrates a drive to succeed and a high standard of performance A desire to develop new skills, to improve the quality of your work and to take increasing responsibilities
