Job Summary/Basic Function

Deliver Biotechnology classes.

Duties/Responsibilities

Customer Service Overriding Expectation:

  • Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported.
  • Go beyond the easiest or surface answer for a student, or an internal or external customer, and get to the root cause of the problem, question or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach assigned classes according to faculty loading guidelines.
  • Prepare syllabi and lesson plans as requested.
  • Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy.

Duties/Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

A qualified faculty member in biotechnology is one who has an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, or a masters in a related field; 18 graduate semester hours in cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, and/or microbiology with at least two years experience in the field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in "learning based" environment.
Post-secondary teaching experience.
