Analytical Development Manager Grangemouth - £33,000 - £44,000 Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Analytical Development Manager to join one of SRGs key clients on a permanent basis.

As the Analytical Development Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development, validation, troubleshooting and technical transfer of the analytical method programmes. This position will also require you to directly lead a group in a compliant, safe and effective manner in line with the business requirements.

Key responsibilities of this role include liaising with client technical groups and providing advice on assay requirements, as well as acting as an in-house expert for particular assays. You will be required to provide cover for Analytical Development Scientists whilst providing training and troubleshooting support to production and stability QC groups. You will be leading specified compliance and improvement programmes, whilst identifying opportunities for improving methods of working to enhance efficiency, cost control and safety/GMP performance. You will also be responsible for the upholding of cGMP and ESH standards and continually seeking opportunities to improve these.

The role will also require you to assist the QC manager in the implementation of QC measures and targets, and working with them to ensure compliant introduction into the QC groups in conjunction with the QC Team Leaders, QC Lead Analysts and other technical staff. You will be planning workloads to ensure timelines are met and ensuring timely close out of group deviation, change controls and commitment tracking. You will also be in frequent contact with client assay specialist groups and in-house project teams, with occasional technical visits to client facilities and involvement with regulatory authorities.

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum BSc with managerial experience in a fast paced regulated biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment. You will be experienced in method development in HPLC (Reverse Phase and Size Exclusion), ELISA, You will also be self motivated and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
