HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Contract Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join a global leader in the life sciences market based in the Berkshire area. The primary objective of the contract manager will be to focus on the commercial aspects of all ongoing projects including ongoing business of existing contracts, financial planning, business reporting and being the primary customer contact for all site related contract issues.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful Contract Manager will be responsible for:

1. Providing varying levels of support in contract negotiation and contract creation during the acquisition of new business, and hand over of the contract to both program management and the organisation following signature, along with acquiring new projects from customers with whom they have a current ongoing relationship.

2. Being the primary internal and external point of contact for any contractual and financial issues that may arise during execution of the project, including management of timely invoicing and overdue accounts, as well as being the primary internal contact regarding contractual obligations.

3. Ensuring that the customers expectations on the contract are met and preparing detailed amendments to cover any agreed changes, as well as being responsible for financial planning and business reporting.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful contract manager needs to have:

1. A technical background, appreciation for the commercial and contractual aspects of the business along with a good understanding of the regulatory requirements governing new drug development and manufacture.

2 . Strong communication and presentation skills coupled with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. The ability to chair both internal and external meetings professionally and efficiently.
