My client a rapidly expanding CRO company are looking to recruit a Research Scientist for an initial six month contract based in their Cambridgeshire offices.

The main responsibility of the role will be to lead the experiments and studies according to the analytical plan within the specified timelines and to GCP standards. Ideally the right candidate will be a strong team player and be happy to mentor and train the junior staff as required. The role offers strong opportunities to progress into study leads or potentially a client facing role therefore strong communications are essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct study according to the agreed protocol and timeline to GCP standards
  • Strong experience within Virology and a good working knowledge of current assays used in the field
  • Performing assigned scientific experiments with a high degree of independence
  • Make recommendations for the performance of Scientific experiments
  • Accurately recording, interpreting and analysing data
  • Monitor literature in key journals and liaise with the virology department as required.
