HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Analytical Project Leader

One of our leading Biotechnology partners are looking for an Analytical Project Leader to join their new start of the art facility based in Berkshire on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Analytical Group Leader you will proactively coordinate internal and external client project activities (analytical CMC development of recombinant proteins) performed within Analytical Services and to provide scientific oversight of data generated for the projects.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Analytical Project Leader you will be working in a fast paced customer driven environment and take responsibilities for a number of activities:

1. Primary point of contact for all analytical activities relating to product development and management of analytical development programmes from early phase development through to license application. You will be the primary interface to the Program Management group.

2. Definition, presentation and representation of analytical CMC programmes to customers, potential new customers and external meetings, including oversight of large analytical portfolio projects.

3. Design and integration of analytical work packages into CMC strategy for product development and alignment to customer requirements for successful product development. Final review of study protocols and reports ensuring that studies are delivered to the appropriate and consistent scientific, technical, regulatory and quality standards.

4. Coach and mentor scientists to develop wider CMC knowledge to develop the appropriate expertise and know how to represent Analytical Services.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful as the Analytical Project Leader we are looking for those with the following:

1. Life Science based degree with proven project management skills ideally coming from a contract research or biologics environment. Those with such skills from the Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology industries are still encouraged to apply.

2. Demonstrated experience in developing a flexible range of high quality analytical services for recombinant protein and IgG molecules.

3. Experience in troubleshooting analytical CMC problems and presenting clear solutions to internal and external project teams. We also expect to see evidence mentoring and leading scientific and technical teams to leverage scientific experience and wisdom in order to deliver a successful analytical CMC package for early phase and late phase products.
