Matchtech: Senior Purification Scientist - Perm & 12 month FT


Our client is a major manufacturer of protein based pharmaceutical products and they are looking for an experienced Senior Purification Scientist to join their team

Job Purpose
The Purification Development Scientists will be required to develop and optimise
downstream processes for the recovery and purification of API products, including but
not limited to recombinant proteins, antibodies and viruses. There will also be a
requirement to scale-up/down and for the technology transfer of processes either
internally to our clients manufacturing group or externally, to and from third parties.

flexible and intuitive Purification Development Scientists to work on a wide range of
projects within our clients microbial, mammalian and viral process development
laboratories.
Our clients Purification Development group is responsible for the development, optimisation
and scale up / down of downstream processes for the recovery and purification of
proteins, DNA and viruses. The Purification Development Scientist will be responsible for
design and execution of experiments, operating bench / pilot scale chromatography,
tangential and normal flow filtration and centrifugation systems.
There will also be the requirement for subsequent data review and report generation
alongside and the upkeep of the process development laboratories. Our client also has a
strong focus on cross-skilling, therefore the suitable candidate may also be required to
work within different groups, such as upstream / analytical development and cGMP
manufacture.
