Job Description: 

Our laboratory studies the role of intrinsic disorder in the regulation of multivalent protein interactions in cancer-relevant signal transduction pathways. We use biochemical and biophysical methods including NMR spectroscopy, AUC, ITC, fluorescence and enzymatic assays to characterize these proteins and their interactions.

Duties:  The selected candidate will be part of a fast-pace work environment and work closely with all members of the lab team, including the lab head, performing a variety of diverse experimental duties. These duties will include bacterial cell culture, molecular biology experiments, protein purification and characterization and biophysical and biochemical assays. The Senior Research Technologist will also be responsible for maintaining efficient laboratory operations. The ideal candidate has a high degree of motivation and dedication to the job; and excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills. (MJP)

Job Qualifications: 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field and three (3) years (post-degree) of relevant and productive work experience is required

OR

A Master's degree in an appropriate scientific field and two (2) years (post-degree) of relevant and productive work experience is required

OR

A PhD in an appropriate scientific field with no additional experience is required.

Preferred skills: Knowledge of fundamental principles of molecular biology and biochemistry and experience with some of the biochemical or biophysical techniques are highly preferred.
