HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Study Director - Bioassays

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Study Director to join the Analytical Services group of a leading contract manufacturing organisation company based in the Berkshire area. Analytical Services offer Product Characterisation, Stability and Analytical Method Development & Validation studies.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The role of the Study Director will be to provide activity/potency bioassay methods in support of process and product development and manufacture for antibodies and other recombinant proteins being manufactured by our client.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key duties of the Study Director will include:

1. Scheduling and prioritisation (with input from appropriate management) of studies and resources for on time delivery of development, qualification and validation studies.
2. When required lead junior scientists / technologists in the development and transfer of potency assays from customers.
3. Liaise with customers to ensure efficient and successful transfer of activity/potency assays into the laboratories.
4. Writing and review of study protocols and reports for assay qualification and validation studies and ensure that studies are delivered to the appropriate scientific and technical quality.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate for the Study Director will have a BSc or MSc in a life sciences discipline and have previous experience working within a contract manufacturing organisation. They should have experience in the development and validation of analytical methods including ELISA and Bioassay techniques for activity/potency testing of recombinant proteins.
The candidate should have experience study directing, which includes working with and presenting to customers on a variety of scientific subjects and delivering analytical programs to agreed timelines and resource plans.
