Position Objective:

To oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance and quality control systems and activities at the site. This includes oversight and leadership of the QA/QC staff (6 members) in the raw material lab, finished goods lab as well as to ensure proper control of the QA activities and GMP practices at the site.

Duties:

· Provide leadership and direction to the QA/QC team, to oversee and manage assigned staff including hiring, disciplinary action, work assignment, performance management, training and professional development.

· Manage, evaluate and develop quality systems and processes for the inspection, testing and evaluation of company products.

· Ensure processes and work standards are being followed by staff to ensure company products are precise accurate and reliable.

· Develop budget and monitor expenditures for the department.

· Assure finished products conform to government and company standards and satisfy GMP regulations.

· Support customer and regulatory audits of the site.

· May be required to perform duties as required and /or assigned.

Experience Requirements

· ISO 13485

· CFR Part 820

· Minimum 5 years in QA/QC Manufacturing environment

· Excellent people skills

· Science background preferred
