HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Product Manager - Maternity Cover

We have an urgent and exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to work for a leading Biotechnology company based in the Cambridgeshire area. This is a Maternity cover opportunity to join their Marketing and Product Category Management team on a 9 month contract. The purpose of this role will be to work with the Kits and Assays team and other teams in marketing, commercial operations and research to bring a product management approach to marketing a range of assays and to provide leadership and execution for all products in the product portfolio.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful Product Manager will be responsible for:

1. Reaching targets, developing and managing a global strategic marketing plan and prioritising new product launches for the Assay Portfolio, as well as developing the coordinated marketing programs for the Assays range and working with relevant colleagues to develop a marketing plan using multiple channels to deliver a marketing message.

2. Delivering and maintaining comprehensive market assessments for the product range and identifying future product development opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation as well as being responsible for new product launches.

3. Liaising with operations and scientific support to ensure the smooth integration of new products into the catalogue, recommending new products for the catalogue and developing a pricing strategy.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful Product Manager needs to have:

1. A BSc in a biological discipline and be computer literate with appropriate IT skills (A PhD in Molecular / Cellular Biology or related area would be an advantage as would a Marketing Qualification)

2. Experience in a commercial capacity within the Life Sciences Industry.
