HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Senior Scientist - Process Analytics

We are currently looking for a Senior Scientist with expertise of Process Analytics to join a leading company Biotechnology company based in the Berkshire area. This is a permanent position which will
direct laboratory analytical support for cell culture and purification process development that is required in the development and manufacture of antibodies and other recombinant proteins.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Senior Scientist of Process Analytics some of the key duties of this role will include:

1. Lead analytical method developments and evaluations related to ELISA, HPLC and ForteBio Octet methods while maintaining the laboratories and associated facilities to cGMP.

2. To provide flexible laboratory-based practical expertise across the Process Analytics department with techniques such as SDS-PAGE, Caliper GXII, IEF, GP-HPLC, oligosaccharide analysis, residual Protein A ELISA, HCP ELISA / Western Blot, DNA (qPCR).

3. To develop expert technical knowledge and flawless execution across a range of Process Analytics activities. You will collate, analyse and interpret data, lead departmental practices and process improvements and coach and / or mentor junior scientists/technologists.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful as the Process Analytical Senior Scientist we are looking for application who can demonstrate the following in their career to date:

1. Degree in a relevant life sciences discipline (i.e biochemistry, biotechnology, biological sciences / equivalent industry experience) as well as proven industry experience in the analysis of proteins working with a range of platforms including ELISA, HPLC (affinity / RP-HPLC) and such method development.

2. Such experience is expected to come from a regulatory and GMP compliant environment. Unfortunately due to expectations of current projects to be successful as the Senior Scientist such industry experience is required and those without it will not be considered.
