HRS Hyper Recruitment Solutions: Site Operations Manager - Scientific

We are currently looking for a Site Operations Manager to join a leading Life Science company based in the Oxfordshire area. This position require somebody ideally with previous experience from a CRO with experience both in site leadership and operational excellence (including change management). .

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Site Manager will have an exciting and varied role with some of the key duties including:

1. Manage site operations to ensure production goals and customer expectations on contract projects are met, implement bio-security improvement plans and monitor strict implementation of defined work instruction

2. Ensure that the barrier environment and animals’ health status and welfare are not compromised by personnel and equipment movement, and processes; Analyse weaknesses in the existing processes and suggest/devise/develop improvements in this area.

3. Manage site budget and inventory plan and assist with annual budget planning (expenses, labour loads, etc), lead operational process improvement changes by using Lean techniques, install training plans, development, and evaluation of individuals reporting to position

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The successful Site Operations Manager will be able to demonstrate the following both on their CV and at interview if selected:

1. Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Veterinarian preferable) with proven strategic and people leadership experience from a highly compliant scientific organisation (i.e Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, CRO, CMO)

2. Proven experience with managing and delivering on budget responsibilities with extensive experience working within a robust and effective quality management system

3. Experience in leading operational excellence / continuous improvement projects successfully ideally with belt certifications in Lean Six Sigma.
