Lonza: Analytical Services Scheduler

An opportunity has become available for a Scheduler to join Lonza's Analytical team. The individual will be responsible for collation, co-ordination and tactical scheduling of Analytical Services scientific work packages into a delivery plan that will enable the business to meet sales and service objectives.

• Collate information from the various sources; quotes, signed stages, protocols and unscoped work

• Liaise with the Analytical Project Managers, Departmental Managers, Study Directors and Analytical team as required

• Update the scheduling tool with respect to work packages, resources and rework

• Communicate schedule to analytical teams and Management

• Communicate any scheduling conflicts as they occur to Management

• Maintenance of scheduling tool as required e.g. software updates

• Collate & report departmental metrics: resource utilisation, capacity planning and planned vs actual data

• Draft & review SOPs as appropriate

• Contribute to departmental initiatives and process improvements


REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience:

Essential: Demonstrated experience in scheduling analytical work packages Desired : Experience of working in a contract research environment

• Excellent communication skills; written & verbal

• Desire to learn and willing to contribute ideas

• Confident and resilient enough to thrive in a challenging environment

• Willing to undertake a range of tasks for the effective running of the department.
