Hays Life Sciences : Bioanalyst

Bioanalyst - 12 Month Contract 

Main role: A laboratory based role to provide quantitative bioanalysis of compounds and related metabolites in a range of biological matrices.  This role includes method development, sample preparation, analysis using LC-MS and other technologies, data processing and reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide rapid, effective and efficient quantitative bioanalysis of internal compounds and/or related metabolites in biological matrices to support research projects.

Biological sample extraction and preparation techniques.

Continual bioanalytical method development and optimisation.

Ability to follow standard methods.

Assay validation to support non-clinical studies.

Report writing.

Use analytical expertise to solve analytical problems as they arise.

Interface with NCD, DMPK and Chemistry.

Specific skills & qualifications

Candidates must be of graduate level (or equivalent) with proven experience in the following areas:

At least 3 years bioanalytical experience, with detailed knowledge and understanding of bioanalytical sample preparation & analytical techniques in the DMPK & non-clinical environment.

Biological sample extraction and preparation techniques.

Providing consistent high quality bioanalytical support.

Assay validation and acceptance criteria for bioanalytical assays to support non-clinical studies.

Bioanalytical method development and optimisation.

Trouble shooting of analytical and equipment issues to avoid delays in data generation.

Good prioritisation, organisational and communication skills.

Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Use of LC-MS instrumentation and data interpretation.

Microsoft Office.

Additional lab based DMPK activities, including automation are desirable

High quality report writing skills.
