Reed Scientific: Scientific Technical Support - French Speaking


A great opportunity for a Life Science graduate with French language skills!

My client is a manufacturer of speciality life sciences products used in R&D, clinical research and clinical diagnostics. Their UK office close to Oxford provides sales and technical support for customers throughout Europe. They currently require an individual with a life sciences background to promote and sell the company's products with the objective of meeting or exceeding the sales budget. Based in the UK and covering France, Belgium and Luxembourg, you will need to have a good working knowledge of the French language.

Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out field sales visits 5-10 days/month for the following purposes:
* to introduce and sell the products
* to provide technical advice
* Obtain referrals and prospect for new business within existing accounts and in new accounts
* Plan and implement the sales strategy to achieve sales budget
* Plan and effectively manage key accounts
* Represent the company and maintain a professional manner at all times

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a BSc (or equivalent) in a Life Science subject with preferably a PhD and some laboratory experience. Experience in scientific sales or technical support would be extremely advantageous. Fluent spoken and written French, are an essential requirement as well as good English language skills.

Salmonella spreads by targeting cells in our gut, study shows

University of Edinburgh researchers have found that the bacteria are able to change key cells that line the intestine, enabling the bugs to thrive.
