Reed Scientific: Quality Systems Manager
Reed Scientific are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Manager for their client who are a leading Biotechnology company based in Oxfordshire.
In this role the main duties will include:
- Working with the Operations Director, managing various aspects of the quality system associated with the facility to maintain compliance with current corporate, regulatory and industry best practice guidelines.
- Managing and developing staff within the Quality department through the performance management system.
- Working in close co-operation with process scientists, production staff, commercial staff, clients and regulatory bodies to assure quality and to deliver successful projects for our clients.
- Own and manage quality assurance, health and safety and other activities relating to compliance to accreditation or certification bodies (HSE & HTA) consistent with company policies and strategy.
- Leadership of new quality initiatives including achieving CPA accreditation.
- Active management of CAPA.
- Manage the relationships with statutory, certification and accreditation bodies, e.g. BSI and UKAS.
The ideal applicant will possess:
- A minimum of a degree in science or engineering, preferably with some biological or life science content.
- Experience of setting up and running business systems, including quality and H&S, in a medical laboratory, life sciences and/or medical devices organisation.
- Evidence of successfully running a quality system to support the ISO9001 quality standards, and ideally, ISO17025 and ISO17001 quality standards.
