An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Immunogen Design Scientist to join a leading life science company based in the Cambridgeshire area.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Immunogen Design Scientist will lead the Immunogen Design process in Cambridge, UK, and will coordinate immunogen production with the product manufacturing facility in China. They will work on defining the production pathway for new projects and will work with the Pipeline Manager to coordinate downstream activities. It is likely this role will require some travel to China.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main responsibilities of the Immunogen Design Scientist will include:

1. Working with the Product Development team to understand the key requirements of all new products.

2. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of immunogen design principles and science.

3. Designing immunogens in line with production targets.

4. Oversee immunogen design by other scientists, taking responsibility for defining and communicating "design rules".

5. Coordinating immunogen production in China.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate for the position of Immunogen Design Scientist will hold a minimum of a degree in biological sciences (a PhD would be advantageous) and proven previous laboratory experience. Previous experience with immunogen design is essential. A strong background in protein structure and project coordination would be an added benefit.
