Lonza: Senior Scientist - Analytical

Lonza Biologics have an exciting opportunity for two experienced Senior Scientists to play a pivotal role within the Analytical Services function .
 
Lonza Analytical Services is  the provider of choice for high value analytical services to the biopharmaceutical industry; its capabilities and expertise encompasses a wide range of technologies to support all stages of production and process development.
 
Analytical Services offer Product Characterisation, Stability and Analytical Method Development & Validation studies and employs an extensive range of technologies including HPLC, UPLC, gel electrophoresis, icIEF, qPCR and  immunoassay.   The Senior Scientists will be joining the Analytical Services team at an exciting time as the department moves into a brand new, purpose built analytical laboratory and offices in Q3 2013.
 
As a Senior Scientist you will work on all study types using the full range of  technologies and be encouraged to develop into a subject matter expert (SME) in a specific platform technology.  As an SME the Senior Scientist will be responsible for the maintenance of the platform, provide technical support to Study Directors, Analytical Product Managers and Customers, lead investigations and play a key role in the future direction of the platform technology.

This is a permanent role based in Slough, UK.
 
Techniques required:
     * HPLC
     * UPLC
     * gel electrophpresis
     * icIEF
     * qPCR

Ideal applicants will be degree qualified and have extensive experience of  performing analytical techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, gel electrophoresis, icIEF, qPCR and  immunoassay within a regulatory environment.
 
Applicants will also have experience in Characterisation, Stability and Analytical Method Development & Validation studies.
 
Candidates will have attention to detail and a strong desire to execute their work flawlessly.
