SRG: Head of R&D - Antibody Technology

A leading supplier of antibody reagents and research tools into the life sciences sector, with offices throughout the world, my client distributes its industry leading products through a global network. My client is a candidate with strong experience in overseeing the R&D projects to join as the head of R&D.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead the R&D Team delivering the development of innovative products. The role will work closely with both the Product Management and Marketing teams to align R&D with the overall company strategy.

The main responsibilities of the role will include;

· Lead the R&D team in the delivery of innovative antibody research projects.
· Ownership of the R&D strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall company objectives and strategy.
· Network across the company and identify new R&D opportunities, identify areas where R&D can deliver its greatest impact.
· Supporting technology evaluation, working in conjunction with Marketing and Corporate strategy teams.
· Development of company innovation plans, working in conjunction with the global R&D leadership team.
· Direct Management of the R&D department and team, with ongoing line management, development and objective setting.
· Maintain up to date knowledge of antibody technology and its applications.

Candidates will ideally hold a PhD in a Biological Science, or experience from a Research based role. On top of this, candidates must have strong experience in leading on the development of antibody technology and applications, delivering innovative projects and products. Candidates must have a strong understanding of antibody technology, with strong project management and people management skills in an R&D environment
